Nick Arm Balance Side Crow Exploration Flow - Fri 2/19

This class is a great intro to hand balances, wrist strengthening work, and side crow! You'll start off with some engaging and unique ways to warm up your wrists, and then use that engagement right away in a longer plank. After a full body warm up with some sun salutations, you'll dive head first into some faster paced vinyasas that are sure to get your heart rate pumping (mountain climbers, anyone?).
You'll continue with your high energy, fast paced vinyasas until you hit the "taper" of class, a moment where you're given more than a minute to really rest, relax, and recuperate on the mat before we attempt side crow together. This teaching of side crow is certainly not unique, but it is something that is less common than the two arm variations; most practitioners will find that with a bit of practice and following the prescribed steps, this is actually an easier way to achieve flight! And if it doesn't work out today, remember, we're just practicing anyway, right? You'll get there eventually, and in the meantime, enjoy the journey.
The playlist features songs from Freya Ridings, Rita Ora, and Prinze George.
