Class is inspired by Nelson Mandela’s inaugural speech and his famous quote, “As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” Our theme is the solar plexus chakra, or “city of jewels,” the chakra that governs our willpower and self esteem. We will honor all the light, fire, and jewels within us. Class focuses on twisting from the navel as we explore the fire within the Solar Plexus Chakra. Our peak pose is Revolved Side Angle, a deep twist that also encourages strength in the legs. The playlist features songs from Rob Riccardo, Rhye, and Indie Arie.
